Sailing into Bliss: A Majestic Journey on the Genting Dream Cruise
Last Sunday, 21st Jan, 2024, I embarked on an unforgettable adventure that
transcended the ordinary – a cruise aboard the luxurious Genting Dream Cruise, setting
sail from Singapore to Port Klang and Phuket Patong. What made this journey
even more special was the company of my sister, Yong, and two dear friends,
Sherry Lim and Christine Ho. For Christine and Sherry, it was a maiden voyage
into the world of cruising, and what a voyage it was!
Main Ship Deck
As the ship gracefully departed from Singapore, we eagerly made our way to
our balcony room. For Christine, Sherry, and me, this marked our first time
experiencing the luxury of a balcony room on a cruise. The anticipation was
palpable as we stepped into our haven at sea. The room was not just a place to
rest; it was a sanctuary that opened up to the vast expanse of the ocean. The
beauty of the sea unfolding before our eyes was a mesmerizing panorama that
made each moment aboard the Genting Dream Cruise truly magical.

The Genting Dream Cruise liner is a floating marvel, a colossal beauty on
the open sea. Its sheer size is awe-inspiring, providing ample space for every
imaginable pleasure. From the moment we stepped on board, we were greeted by an

Bonding Over Workshops, Tea and Laughter:
The Sunday evening, as our Genting Dream Cruise journey unfolded, we were treated to the enchanting 'Love Matters" variety show—an event that resonated deeply with its poignant message about the enduring power of love. Drawing inspiration from the timeless wisdom of 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, the show beautifully encapsulated the essence of love, portraying its ability to bear, believe, hope, and endure in the face of all things.
On the third evening of our cruise, the 'Affinity" Acrobatic
show took center stage, captivating our senses with its enthralling
performances. The acrobats showcased not only their extraordinary skills but
also delivered a spectacular and awe-inspiring experience, leaving a lasting
impression on everyone fortunate enough to witness their talents.
Affinity in Action
As our cruise journey neared its end, we were treated to yet another
delightful surprise—a screening of the movie 'Shang-Chi' by none other
than our esteemed Datuk Michelle Yeoh. Her curated movie night provided the
perfect conclusion to our seafaring adventure, adding a touch of cinematic
magic to an already unforgettable experience.
As our voyage on the Genting Dream Cruise continued, we discovered another delightful dimension of connection and creativity on the 2nd afternoon—the Gel Lamp workshop. Engaging in the art of lantern crafting not only illuminated our surroundings but also kindled a sense of togetherness among fellow cruisers.
During this hands-on experience, we embraced the opportunity to craft our
own Gel Lamps, guided by skilled artisans who shared their expertise and
enthusiasm. The workshop became a canvas for our collective creativity, as we
carefully molded and assembled each piece, transforming simple materials into
radiant lamps that would light up both our cabins and our spirits.

The Gel Lamp workshop proved to be more than just a craft session; it
became a shared journey of exploration and bonding. As the warm glow of our
handcrafted lamps flickered to life, it mirrored the connections we forged
during this unforgettable cruise. It was a testament to the cruise's commitment

aboard.
In the midst of this maritime paradise, we found joy in the simplest moments.
Sipping tea on the balcony became a cherished ritual, a time when conversations
flowed freely, and laughter echoed across the open sea. The bond between us
grew stronger as we shared stories, dreams, and the sheer joy of being in such
a remarkable setting together.

Each day, we indulged in a symphony of flavors at the onboard restaurants,

cuisines, every meal was a culinary journey in itself.
One particular highlight was the themed culinary events, where the ship
